Join Save Ontario's Science Centre (Save OSC) and Lost Rivers Toronto for a two hour nature hike through the beautiful west Don Valley to celebrate Jane's Walk Toronto.
Along the way, we will speak to long forgotten First Nation trails, settler history, lost creeks, the Underground Railway, Ontario Line, ecological restoration as well as the future for both the vibrant Flemingdon Park neighbourhood and the OSC lands. Flemingdon Park definitely is not the "sleepy neighbourhood" that Doug Ford thinks it is!
We will start at the S/W corner of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue at the still unopened and soon to be renamed Eglinton Crosstown 'Science Centre' stop on Saturday May 3 at 2:00pm. We will finish at 770 Don Mills Road in front of the OSC
Unfortunately, this nature walk is not fully accessible with some steep slopes, uneven terrain and possible muddy areas. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Dogs are welcome, but must be on leash and well socialized.
