Motion to Waive Referral (Carried)
Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM43.73 be referred to the Executive Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
1 - Motion to Amend Item moved by Councillor Josh Matlow (Carried)
That City Council delete the recommendation and instead adopt the following:
1. City Council request the City Manager to convene a meeting with representatives of the Province of Ontario, Infrastructure Ontario, the Government of Canada, and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, and relevant community stakeholders, to discuss the future of the Ontario Science Centre site at 770 Don Mills Road and to collaboratively determine a sustainable future use for the site that ensures public benefit and access, consistent with the findings of the “Reimagining the Future of the former Ontario Science Centre report” in Attachment 1 to this item.
